Add milk and water to heavy bottom pot 2. Add rice and salt to the milk 3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently 4. Reduce to a simmer and cook 20-25 minutes, still stirring frequently 5. Add sugar to yolks and mix until smooth 6. Turn off heat and temper the yolks with some hot milk mixture 7. Add eggs back into milk mixture, turn heat back on and simmer for 1-2 minutes to cook the egg yolks. It should still be rather thin. 8. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. 9. Refrigerate to thicken and add cinnamon before serving
